Grandparent writing and portraits

At the end of Term 1 we wrote and published descriptions about one of our grandparents.  We wrote about what they looked like, what we liked to do with them and why they were special.  We then made portraits of our grandparents using pastel, dye, fabric, yarn and buttons.   We were very proud to share our fantastic descriptions with our grandparents when they came to visit on Grandparents' day.

Grandparents' Day

In the last week of Term we finished off our Growing Together inquiry by inviting our Grandparents to visit for Grandparents' Day.  We had a great morning of singing and Easter activities followed by a yummy morning tea.  Here are some photos of us having lots of fun making Easter baskets with our grandparents and asking them questions about what school was like when they were young.

Chocolate Crackle

Today we made a delicious bunch of Chocolate Crackle.  First we got the ingredients out and put the ingredients in a bowl.  Next we mixed it together and melted the Kremelta.  Last we put it in the fridge til after morning tea and ate it.  I think it was delicious.

Repeating patterns

In maths we are learning all about repeating patterns.  This is a type of maths called Algebra.  We have been making repeating patterns using shapes, colours and numbers.  Here are some pictures of patterns we have made using some of the maths equipment:
